To be selected for inclusion in The New Social Contract the arguments you cover must summarize with fairness the major viewpoints on the question, issue, or argument you have selected. Your web page should not be a polemic.

Major references on the question, issue, or argument must be a part of your web page.

You are expected to extract a recommended solution, or position, on the issue or argument, based upon your fair appraisal.

The ability to adhere to the standards above will determine our selection of editors who will organize subject areas and apply standards.

Fairness is the essential quality.

FORMATTING YOUR WEB SITE

You are expected to follow in a general way the format outlined below. The format will be modified as we progress.

You may organize your web page in any way you desire but your chances of having it included depend on your general adherence to the format and the inclusion of the items below.

  1. Statement of the selected issue, question, or argument
  2. The various major positions on the issue
  3. Applicable facts, data
  4. Your recommended position
  5. The downside to adopting this position (all paragraphs previous to paragraph 4 should be accomplished in no more than two pages).
  6. The major reasons for adopting the position you recommend.
  7. Other questions, issues, arguments raised on selection position and a short discussion of each additionally raised issue.
  8. References and sources on the selected issue, question, or argument. The value and bias of these references.
