FourC Relationship to the Major Political Parties

FourC is Primarily a Movement of Independent Conservatives not a Political Party. While we may end up supporting many Republican Candidates no one should imply that we are Republicans. We may currently side with some Republicans due to current massive dysfunction of the Democratic Party. We have issues with the extremists of the Right as well as the extremists of the Left. As a movement we intend to have an effect that makes both major parties respect the Constitution, while supporting programs that encourage achievement, not dependency and take political actions "for the good of the Nation", not for the corrupted contributions of political lobbies.

We are passionate about creating conditions that foster and stimulate job creation.

What is Wrong with the Two Major Political Parties?

  1. The election apparatus is primarily in the hands of hereditary or moneyed elites, their enablers, narrow special interests, and corrupt entities. Rarely do the policies of these special interests have "the greater good of the republic" in mind. The excesses of Union Leadership, for example, have destroyed or sent overseas jobs that are essential to our economy. "We have met special interests and they are us", for we all have our lobbies but it is a condition that has gotten steadily worse since the creation of our Republic
  2. The division of polar opposites for an unconstrained vision (liberals) versus constrained vision (conservatives) enables radicals to dominate much of the debate. Currently, the best example of this is the current "big spending, socialistic" Democratic Congress where "loyal opposition" and bi-partisan efforts have all but disappeared and corrupt trade-offs with lobbies has become the driving force. The Founding Fathers envisioned their new government as an experiment and made little provision for overcoming the inconveniences of unconstrained opposing visions. Sortition as in the ancient city states was invoked by them for juries but discarded for the legislature as the many institutional trade-offs for special interests like slavery were protected.
  3. The Main Stream Media has long abdicated the special investigative role reserved for them in the creation of our country. They are complicit in the gradual erosion of our rights and the failure of our two party system. The founders correctly assessed that a free investigative press was and is essential to exposing and correcting the inherent corruption of any political process where trade-offs can come at the expense of the greater public good. A healthy political system demands a regeneration of a free investigative press that reflects both constrained as well as unconstrained political visions.     Expand CCC like initiatives Give?

Current Political System Failure to Address Serious Issues

Aside from the current economic debacle, the fault of which can be blamed on both parties, nothing demonstrates the bankruptcy of the current two system that the failure of government to address serious problems. Some of those are listed below. All of these failures argue for an political honest broker like the Tea Party Movement.

  1. The job situation has finally gotten the attention of the President but Congress has yet to address it in a meaningful manner.
  2. Current Energy Legislation is a disaster and the impact of Cap and Trade legislation promises to make our economic situation more dire.
  3. The current Health bill in Congress is a shambles and no workable plan can be designed in the current system of special interests
  4. Social Security is on a downhill slope to disaster and no workable plan to salvage it can be designed in the current confrontational system.
  5. We have failed to address the role of tort lawyers as uncontrolled special interests who put a sever burden on health care, care for the aged, and businesses across the spectrum. They are an uncontrolled tax upon all of us, which the current Democratic majority will not address.
  6. Vast blocks of voters have lost interest in voting in the current system, making democracy a sham.
  7.  Issues of the Internet such as international hacking, spam, and wide-band access is crucial to the functioning of a technological society and our economic future -- yet these issues have not been addressed
  8. "The drug war" is a travesty that fills our jails with innocents, dupes and the ignorant while funding and creating criminals and terrorists. Both parties are complicit.
  9. Illegal Immigration is a both a terrorism threat and an economic drain.
